This Privacy Policy explains how Umut Koseoglu ("we", "us", "our") handles information in connection with the Terminos application and website (the "Service"). We designed Terminos to be local-first: your source code, terminal activity, and Claude Code session data stay on your device.
To provide its core features, Terminos reads and processes the following locally on your computer. This information is not transmitted to our servers:
If you enable an optional feature that sends content to a third-party provider you configure (for example a "consensus" review by another AI model, or a cloud MCP server), that content goes directly from your machine to that provider under their terms — not through us.
Payments are handled by Paddle.com, our reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle collects and processes billing information and taxes under its own privacy policy. We recommend reviewing Paddle's privacy notice for details on how it handles payment data.
We do not sell your personal information.
We share information only with service providers that help us operate (for example Paddle for payments, and infrastructure/email providers), and where required by law. These providers may only use the information to perform services for us.
We keep account and transaction records for as long as needed to provide the Service and to meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements, then delete or anonymize them. Data stored locally by the app remains on your device under your control and can be removed by deleting the app's data or the app itself.
Depending on where you live (for example the EEA, UK, or California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@terminos.dev. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the limited information we hold. On-device, sensitive credentials are stored using the macOS Keychain. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
We and our providers may process information in countries other than yours. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date.
